3rd DIVISION SERVICE COMPANY
3rd Infantry Division Clubmobile
The 3rd Division's head "doughnut boy" Joe Fronek is lettering the bumper of the crew's Dodge 4x4 Clubmobile used in northern France and Germany. There were usually two men attached to the three or four women Clubmobile crews. The men were regular soldiers assigned to special service units. They tended to the equipment and made doughnuts. Flo Wick stated that some of the temporary attachments to the doughnut detail were soldiers in need of limited duty and sometimes Medal of Honor recipients waiting for reassignment.
