3rd Infantry Division Clubmobile
Florence Wick joined the 3rd Division in Naples and was the Clubmobile Captain through the rest of the war and then until March 1946 with occupation forces. Posing in Naples in the summer of 1944, before following the 3rd Division into southern France is Isabella Hughes (Jingles), Elizabeth Elliott (Liz), Dorothy Shands (Dottie), and Florence Wick (Flo). Isabella Hughes was a veteran of the Sicilian and Italian campaigns since July of 1943.
Flo was one of 93 American Red Cross workers in the company of British and American medical teams that sailed into Naples Harbor on the H.S. Atlantis on May 27, 1944. The crew followed the 3rd Division to Rome in early June as part of the first American Red Cross workers to enter the first European capitol captured by the Allies.
